Privacy policy

What this site collects, why, for how long, and what you can demand.

Last updated

In one sentence

This site collects only what you give it voluntarily in a form, plus anonymous audience measurement that you can refuse with no consequence for your browsing.

Who is the data controller

EDIES CONSULTING, 45 avenue de Paris, Z.I. des Machérins, 89470 Monéteau, France. For any question about your data: contact@edies.fr or +33 3 86 53 98 34.

The data you send us

Contact and demonstration request forms

We collect your name, your company, your email address, your telephone number when you provide it, and the content of your message.

  • Why: to answer your request, and for nothing else.
  • Legal basis: your request itself — steps taken at your initiative prior to entering into a contract.
  • Where the data goes: it reaches us by email at contact@edies.fr. It is neither sold, nor transferred, nor used for third-party marketing.
  • For how long: three years from the last exchange.

Speculative applications

To the data above is added the CV you attach.

The file is never written to the site’s server. It is read in memory, attached to the email sent to us, then discarded. What we keep is the email, in our mailbox, for two years from receipt — the period beyond which the CNIL, the French data protection authority, recommends deleting unsuccessful applications.

Cookies

The ones the site cannot do without

None. This site sets no cookie needed for it to work, apart from recording your choice about cookies — without which you would be asked again on every page.

Audience measurement

We use Google Analytics 4 to know which pages are read and where visitors come from. These cookies are set only after your explicit consent, and their lifetime is thirteen months.

If you refuse, the site works exactly the same. We simply will not know you came.

Form protection

The three form pages — contact, demonstration request, application — load Google reCAPTCHA v3, which tells a human from a robot and sets Google cookies for that purpose.

This service is loaded on those three pages only. It is present neither on the home page, nor on the product pages, nor in the glossary.

Changing your choice

The consent banner lets you revisit your decision at any time. You can also delete cookies already set from your browser settings.

What this site does not do

We spell it out because it is common practice and it is not ours:

  • No advertising cookies, no retargeting.
  • No social network share buttons — the LinkedIn link in the footer is an ordinary link, it sets nothing.
  • No fonts served by a third party: they are hosted with the site, so your browser contacts no font server.
  • No sale or transfer of data to anyone.

Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection over the data concerning you, as well as a right to data portability.

To exercise them, write to contact@edies.fr. We reply within one month.

If the answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the CNILcnil.fr.

Hosting and transfers

The site and its data are hosted within the European Union. The Google services mentioned above — Analytics and reCAPTCHA — may involve a transfer to the United States, governed by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Refusing the audience measurement cookies avoids the first of those transfers.
