TMS · FTL, groupage, break-bulk, charter

One TMS, 4 activities

Multi-activity carriers usually run several systems that do not talk to each other. TALK Transport replaces them with one, to get the best out of each activity.

What it changes

01

One dispatch desk, not four

Full loads, groupage, break-bulk and charter share the same data model and the same screens. Your dispatchers do not switch application by type of transport, and your figures consolidate without reprocessing.

02

We map it, you recode nothing

INOVERT, EDIFACT, XML, REST API, or your biggest customer’s in-house format. Incoming formats are normalised on the way in: that is our job, not your IT person’s.

03

No paper on the round

The driver app, on iOS and Android, carries the eCMR and the digital proof of delivery. Signed documents come back matched automatically, with no scanning and no filing.

04

CO₂ in the decision, not in a report

Carbon is computed inside the planning engine, not bolted on afterwards. Three alternative plans — least cost, least CO₂, balanced — with the trade-offs explained. Export by customer and by round.

In detail

Running dispatch day to day

Transport ordersKeyed in, or imported from the shipper web station, EDI (INOVERT®, FORTRAS, EDIFACT, XML), the API, your mailbox, OCR of PDFs… Incoming formats are normalised automatically.
Rounds and deliveriesPlanning by driver and by vehicle, trailer rotation, collections, trunking, barcode dock scanning.
GroupageDynamic transport plans, groupage manifests, transit notes, tracking of distributing partners.
CharterAllocation to subcontractors and hauliers, multi-party transhipment, confirmations sent automatically, freight exchange links.
Round returnsExceptions, disputes, shortages, damage, adjustments.
After-salesClaims, requests for signed documents, collections — carriage forward, cash on delivery, disbursements.
Returnable packagingScanned at every step, summary per carrier, invoices and credit notes.
Dangerous goodsClasses and UN numbers, incompatibility checks, the 1000-point threshold, annual report.

Managing the fleet and resources

  • Vehicle tracking — real-time position, on-board missions, drivers’ hours data. Interfaces with Webfleet Solutions, Truckonline, Scalar.
  • Fleet management — vehicles, statutory inspections, servicing, fuel, tyres.
  • Driver app — iOS and Android, eCMR and digital proof of delivery.
  • Document management — scanning and automatic matching of signed consignment notes.

Invoicing and analysis

  • Pre-invoicing — multi-level rate cards by weight, by pallet or flat rate, subcontracting management, rate simulation.
  • Accounting interface — pre-invoices transferred to an ERP, including Sage Ligne 1000.
  • Real-time statistics — revenue, margin and lead times by customer, by area, by product or by depot. Driver analysis, volumes.
  • Built-in BI — reports, print-outs, dashboards and custom alerts. Export to Excel, PDF, CSV.

Optimising

The combinatorial optimisation engine handles full loads, groupage, break-bulk and charter at the same time, under constraints of stackability, volume, driving time and customer time slots.

It produces three alternative plans — least cost, least CO₂, balanced — with the trade-offs explained, rather than a single result to take or leave.

Add to that the subcontractor portal with quotation support and below-margin alerts, and native multilingual operation for international work: eCMR, cabotage, intra-community VAT, driving time.
